The Toyota GR GT Will Be Hard To Get In America. And That's Exactly The Point (Update)

Update: A Toyota spokesperson confirmed to Motor1 that the GR GT is not yet sold out in America, noting that the company has yet to make any final decisions on sales. Toyota says that limited production in the US means it will not be able to meet overwhelming demand. The story has been updated to clarify that.

By the time the Toyota GR GT howled past the pits at Laguna Seca, it was probably already out of reach for most US customers. Toyota hasn't even started deliveries yet, but the company says that demand is already outweighing supply in the US—and that's exactly how the company wanted it.
