A 25-year-old man has been targeted online by trolls who claim he looks older than his 62-year-old wife. Husband Quran McCain and wife Cheryl McGregor from Georgia, US, have a 37-year age gap and regularly share TikTok videos from their home in Rome in Italy.
One video the couple recently uploaded showing them performing a dance routine went viral after users commented on the duo's appearance. The clip, which has been seen by more than 224k people, has generated hundreds of comments with fans claiming Quran's hair has aged him and he now looks 'older than his wife'.
One person said: "You're starting to look older than her, how is that possible?"
Another person added: "He does look old. Like her."
"Omg he looks as old as her now [sic]," a third social media user added.
Referencing their likeness, another TikTok user said: "Siblings or dating."
"He looks older than her," added a fifth person, while another added: "Poor guy. He looks like he dyed his hair to look older."
Cheryl is already a grandmother of 17 but the couple are currently expecting their first child together through surrogacy.
They met in 2012 when Quran was only 15 years old, and working in a fast-food restaurant with Cheryl's son Chris but they only started dating in November 2020.
Quran popped the question in July 2021 with a £2,200 engagement ring. The couple eloped to Tennessee in September the same year, and sealed the deal with just two friends and witnesses.
Quran previously said: "I was extremely nervous before and I tried my best to keep my composure but I was crying as soon as we entered the parking lot. "There are many reasons why I chose to make Cheryl my wife."
He added: "She's beautiful, elegant, strong, noble, honest and compassionate.
"Cheryl was shocked as she didn't know I was going to propose but it made her feel special."
The couple have described their sex life as "amazing" in the past, and have their own OnlyFans account where they post saucy videos online.
