Toxic foam used in celebrations before contamination

Defence staff unwittingly sprayed toxic firefighting foam to entertain children before a coastal village was contaminated with "forever chemicals", an inquiry has been told. 

The Commonwealth agreed to pay $22 million to people living in Wreck Bay, on the NSW south coast, after the toxic foam used at nearby defence sites leaked into sacred waterways.
