Reality queen Gemma Collins’ clothing firm is due to be dissolved after she landed a £1million deal to be the face of New Look.
Gemma has authorised dad Alan, director of Gemma Collins Clothing Ltd, to dissolve the firm. She has also shut down her website of the same name.
Gemma, who ran a boutique in Brentwood, Essex, until it went bust in 2018, took the “difficult” decision to pull the plug on the firm just weeks ago.
A fashion industry source told us: “It had been Gemma’s dream to have her own clothes range since she was a kid and it was popular with customers.
“But now she’s an ambassador for New Look it didn’t make sense for her to continue with her own range as she’ll be designing clothes with the firm’s creative team.”
New figures revealed that Gemma’s axed clothing firm had debts of £91,558 but with assets including stock and cash, her firms’ total liabilities amounted to £42,100.
Gemma said her father, a shipping boss, looks after her finances. She said: “My dad controls all my money.
“Seriously, I have to ask him if I want to upgrade my car.”
