During the hike, a group of fellow hikers heard yelling and immediately sprang into action. One of them descended an embankment to assist and found the woman in a severely injured state but still breathing. Despite efforts to save her, Joseph tragically passed away shortly after the fall.
The husband and child were airlifted off the mountain, while authorities recovered the mother's body. The family had been staying at an Airbnb in Sedona at the time of the incident.
