The final stage, a 99.2km circuit-style stage 9, around Nice could offer plenty of opportunity to shake up the overall classification if it’s not already set in stone.
Riders will tackle four loops featuring four ascents of the Col d’Èze, from the easier side the first three times around for a 7.7km ascent at 5.9%. On the final and fourth lap, the route is modified with a detour via the Chemin du Vinaigrier and the Col des Quatre Chemins, for a total climb of 6km at 7.6%, including more than a kilometre at 12%. Then it is a fast 15 kilometres descent towards the finish line on Promenade des Anglais, approached from the opposite direction to the previous stage, where the overall winner will be crowned.
