What a day and what a stage to cover. Thank you for reading the blog and to everyone who emailed in. It was a fantastic day for Simon Yates and Ben Healy.
I think the peloton will be very much looking forward to their rest day in Toulouse tomorrow. I’ll also be having a rest day and will be back covering the Tour de France 2025’s next stage on Wednesday. Join me then for more action. Before I go, I’d like to share this lovely email from Brad in Philadelphia:
Novice American cycling fan here, from Philadelphia, also a sports writer (I do wrestling, track and field and American football), who for various reasons is unable to watch the Tour.
I depend on your MBMs [minute-by-minute] of the Tour for coverage, and yours are excellent. I’d be lost without you!
I love that you add photos as much as possible. They really convey the whole environment, which must be so exciting to be at, well.
Enjoy the rest day!
Thanks Brad. It’s great to hear that you enjoy the blog and the coverage is helpful.
Before I go, here’s today’s race report:
Here are the pictures from today’s podium in Le Mont-Dore Puy de Sancy:
