The Tour De France is underway for this year, with riders now entering the French country having been in Copenhagen for the first leg of the race.
The first stage took part in Denmark's Capital which saw the cyclists take part in time trials (TT). However when it came to Welsh rider Geraint Thomas, things didn't go as swimmingly as he had hoped with the cyclist realising he left his gilet on during the 13.2km time trial.

Because it was raining when he started, he put it on and should have removed it before setting off, however this didn't happen with the 2018 TDF winner only realising his mistake 2km in, as discussed during his Watts Occurring podcast alongside teammate Luke Rowe, who both represent Ineos Grenadiers.
Making fun of the situation, the 36-year-old took to Instagram and said he would now take the infamous TT gilet on a journey to Paris and after the final stage in the French Capital he would later auction it off to his cycling charity.
In his Instagram caption he wrote: "Right, now you’re all done chuckling at my gilet I thought we could have some fun with it. I wanna see how much more of the Tour it can see. The Arenberg, Alpe d’Huez… I’ll give it to a fan tomorrow and let’s see if we can get it all the way to Paris? #wheresGsgilet.
"I’d love it to go to a different fan each day on its journey and once it makes it back to me in Paris, I’ll auction it off with proceeds going to the @gtcyclingtrust.
"So if you’re in Dunkerque tomorrow and fancy taking it on the next leg of its journey let me know."
Offering to take it off of him, one man from Glasgow commented: "Driven all the way from Glasgow to Dunkerque, then to the cobbles the day after. I’ll take it!"
And sure enough he did with Geraint later posting a picture to Instagram with the Scots man writing: "Day one of #wheresGsgilet. Safely handed it over to Duncan who drove down from Glasgow yesterday. See you in Paris maybe. Who wants to pick up the baton from Duncan tomorrow and take it on the cobbles?"
The Tour de France will continue today with stage four leaving from Dunkerque to Calais during a hilly 171.5 km race after yesterday's rest day.
