'Living within our means': treasurer defiant on budget

Struggling businesses have been offered a glimmer of hope on future tax relief as a treasurer suggests a debt-riddled state is living within its means.

Treasurer Jaclyn Symes fronted Victoria's business community on Wednesday after delivering her second state budget, headlined by a net debt projection of $199.3 billion by 2030.
