Luca Gunter
Called into action inside the first ten minutes and saved really well from Emran Soglo, before almost teeing up Romaine Mundle with a long punt forward. Didn't have so much to do with Spurs on top and Marseille barely threatening. 7
George Abbott
Won Spurs an early penalty and then played a part in the second with some good play down the right to set Mundle free. Good shift from the right-back. 8

William Andiyapan
Coped well at the back and produced some notable blocks and tackles when Marseille pushed forward. 7
Tyrelle Ashcroft
Had a tough time of it down the left at times with Marseille looking to get plenty of joy when they attacked. 6
Romaine Mundle
Utilised his pace early on and created a chance for himself with some persistent play but saw his effort go wide of the target. However, was at the heart of Tottenham's second goal as he checked inside, went back on the outside and then teed up Jaden Williams for a simple finish. Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici would have been impressed as both were watching on in the far corner when Spurs netted their second. Very impressive performance. 9
Matthew Craig
Some real classy play in the middle of the park as he kept things neat and tidy and used the ball extremely well. A captain's performance from Craig. 8
Nile John
Played well in midfield and was so unlucky not to score with a deflected strike that rattled the crossbar. Got better as the game wore on and almost registered an assist after a superb run into the box to tee up Max McKnight. 8
Roshaun Mathurin
Majority of Spurs' play came down the opposite flank but he wasted a good opportunity to get a good cross in early on when he was in possession. Better after the break, notably a mazy run into the box that almost saw Williams net his hat-trick. 6
Jamie Donley
Converted from the penalty spot with a confident kick as he found the bottom corner after 16 minutes. Some nice touches and link-up play with his teammates. 7
Jaden Williams
Did well up against a strong Marseille backline and found the net with a simple finish a few yards out. Was in the right place at the right time to net his second shortly after the break and unlucky not to get a third. 9
Substitutes
Max McNight (Roshaun Mathurin)
Showed some real quality when he came on down the left flank before switching to the right. Had a great chance to score in the final few minutes but Jelle Van Neck saved well from him. 6
Mikey Moore (Romaine Mundle)
On for the closing stages and looked to make an impact in the final third. 5
Oyindamola Ajayi (Jaden Williams)
Worked well up front in his time on the pitch. 5
Jahziah Linton (Tyrelle Ashcroft)
Introduced at left-back for the final few minutes. N/A
Thomas Bloxham (Jamie Donley)
Very little time to make an impact. N/A
