Tottenham transfer target Alessandro Bastoni reacts to Ivan Perisic move

Tottenham target Alessandro Bastoni has reacted to former Inter Milan team-mate Ivan Perisic’s move to the Premier League club.

Spurs on Tuesday announced the free signing of the trophy-laden 33-year-old on a two-year deal, reuniting the player with Antonio Conte.

Perisic turned down a contract offer from Inter to make the move to the Premier League, and Spurs hope to partner the Croatian with Bastoni, though have hit a stumbling block.

Bastoni, a lifelong Inter fan, will need to take some convincing to make the switch. Conte reportedly believes Bastoni can become the best left-sided centre-back in the world.

And the player was was one of many to congratulate Perisic on the move.

He wrote on Instagram, once translated into English, “good luck brother” followed by a red heart.

Inter team-mate, and another player linked with Spurs, Lautaro Martinez did similar, replying to Perisic Instagram post with: “What a player bear!! Good luck brother”
