Tottenham transfer round-up: Bastoni deal hits snag as Man Utd set Rashford price

Tottenham boss Antonio Conte wanted action in the transfer market this summer and the club look like they will deliver as they ramp up their activity this week.

Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster, whose free transfer has been now confirmed, will not be the only players coming through the door at Tottenham Stadium as Conte continues to rebuild his squad for next season.

And it could be a much-changed, new-look Spurs which starts the new Premier League campaign as the Italian gets the backing he wants from chairman Daniel Levy. Here, Mirror Sport rounds up the latest Tottenham transfer rumours.

Rashford price set

Marcus Rashford's future at Manchester United remains in doubt and Spurs are one of several clubs interested in him. But Italian super-agent Roberto De Fanti claims United have set an asking price of up to £80m to ward off potential suitors.

He was quoted on Caughtoffside website as saying: "United are confident a club is unlikely to pay that, especially off the back of a poor season, so they’re almost certain he will stay. They are happy for Rashford to stay."

Bastoni deal hits snag

It's no secret that Italy defender Alessandro Bastoni is one of several Inter Milan players Conte has slapped on his long list of targets this summer. But the Evening Standard say Spurs face serious competition from Manchester United for the 23-year-old's signature. It's also claimed Bastoni is valued at around £50m by Inter, and a bidding war could make him an expensive signing.

Botman move latest

Spurs have scouted all sorts of defenders since Conte arrived at the club, with Lille's in-demand Dutchman Sven Botman among them. Newcastle co-owner Amanda Staveley claimed in February that Botman wanted to join the Magpies during the winter window, only for the deal to fall through. But according to self-styled transfer specialist Gianluca Di Marzio, Spurs could yet bid for the player, who is also on AC Milan's radar.
