Bryan Gil spoke of his delight to return to Spain after sealing a loan switch to Valencia from Tottenham.
The 20-year-old only left La Liga in July 2021 in a part-exchange deal to have seen Erik Lamela swap Spurs for Sevilla but struggled to make much of an impact in North London as the club endured a difficult start to the campaign.
With Antonio Conte having replaced Nuno Espirito Santo and Fabio Paratici bringing in the versatile Dejan Kulusevski, Gil has been afforded a quick-fire move back to his homeland although there is currently no suggestion as to a permanent option to buy being included in the deal.
Speaking to Valencia’s official website after his loan move, Gil talked of his excitement in moving back to Spain although did hint at a return to Spurs in a social media post earlier in the day.
“It’s a special day for me,” he said.
“I really wanted to come here. My family and friends are also very happy with the move back to Spain. Now it’s time to enjoy my time at the club and in this city.
“I put in a lot of work, above all, and provide a lot of excitement. I’m looking forward to getting started right away.”
