The big buy-ups are done and dusted at Tottenham - for now, at least.
Despite signing half a dozen top names already this summer, it seems Antonio Conte’s North Londoners are still in the market for more targets.
Yet in truth, following the captures of Richarlison, Yves Bissouma, Ivan Perisic, Djed Spence, Clement Lenglet and Fraser Forster, further arrivals are not the immediate priority.
It is time for the big sell-off and we can expect that to start sooner rather than later with Italian coach Conte keen to trim the set-up to exactly the size that he wants.
Here, the Mirror provides a round-up of the latest transfer news at Tottenham:
Reguilon loan offer to Barcelona snubbed
Sergio Reguilon’s future definitely remains away from North London but one place he will not be next term is Barcelona.
Spurs had offered the out-of-favour wing-back as a potential loan signing but, according to the Express, the Catalans have already snubbed the opportunity to sign him.
The fact the Spanish international, 25, was signed from Real Madrid appears to have ended any chance of a temporary or permanent move to their bitter rivals.
Exit plan unveiled
With plenty of outgoing activity on the cards, one of Europe’s leading transfer insiders has revealed what the thinking is of the Spurs hierarchy.
As reported in London World, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has outlined the strategy that will see a stream of unwanted talent departing.
Giovanni Lo Celso, Tanguay Ndombele, Reguilon, Japhet Tanganga and Harry Winks, to name but a few, are among the big names being discussed on the latest Wondergoal Podcast featuring in-the-know Azzurri scribe Romano.
Juventus signing opens door for Torres arrival
The Italian giants have completed a move for Torino defender Gleison Bremer and that means they have dropped out of the race for Villarreal’s Pau Torres, according to the Express.
All of which spells good news for Spurs chief Conte, who has long been interested in the 25-year-old Spanish star, valued at £50million.
Torres has been offered to a number of the English elite in recent days, according to the Football Transfer Tavern, including both Manchester City and Chelsea.
But it is Spurs who are in the driving seat, according to Football.London.
