Tottenham have agreed terms with Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic ahead of a summer transfer, beating Chelsea to the Croatian's signature.
The 33-year-old is set to become a free agent this summer when his contract at the San Siro expires in July and Thomas Tuchel had hoped to bring him to west London to bolster his Chelsea squad. But a reunion with former boss Antonio Conte has seemingly been too appealing and a two-year deal will be signed with Spurs.
Conte met with director of football Fabio Paratici and agreed to stay on for another season at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with ENIC recently promising a £150 million injection ahead of the summer transfer window. The Independent have now reported that one of the conditions to him remaining was the promise of signings with Perisic specifically named.
