Tottenham Hotspur have made £90million from the sales of academy players since the summer of 2015, with Nabil Bentaleb’s sale to Schalke in 2017 the highest earner.
The £90million figure accounts for 18% of the money earned from transfers and places the North London club 31st in the world.
That is according to the latest post from CIES’ Football Observatory, which ranks the top 50 clubs worldwide to have "generated the most incomes since July 2015 from the transfer of players [who] graduated from their youth academy and having been at the club for at least three years between the seasons of their 15th and 21st birthday."
