Tottenham Hotspur wasted no time in securing their first three signings of the summer and now they are on the verge of bringing in the next trio of stars as Antonio Conte’s wishes are granted this transfer window.
It has been reported that a deal has been agreed with Everton for Brazilian forward Richarlison to join the club on a five-year deal, for a fee believed to be £50 million, with his medical scheduled for today.
But the dealings don’t stop there, with Spurs continuing to work on signing two other players in the background, as Conte looks to reinforce his defensive backline to complete proceedings.
As confirmed by talkSPORT, Spurs have agreed to sign Richarlison from Everton for £50m, plus £10m in add-ons, on a five-year deal after already agreeing personal terms earlier this week. A medical is now scheduled for the Brazilian in his homeland to get the deal over the line.
The 25-year-old will become Conte’s fourth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster on free transfers, while £25m was splashed out on Yves Bissouma, meaning Tottenham ’s total summer spending takes them up to an initial £75m.
Tottenham and Everton chairmen Daniel Levy and Bill Kenwright were spotted having dinner together over the weekend at a restaurant in Mayfair, with it believed that the main topic of conversation would have been involving a deal for Richarlison, who is now set to become a Spurs player after four years on Merseyside.

And with that deal now all but over the line, Spurs are continuing their pursuit of two more signings in the background, with both expected to be defenders as Conte looks to reinforce his options in that area ahead of a big season that involves a return to the UEFA Champions League.
The Lilywhites are close to securing a deal to sign defender Clement Lenglet, with the France international set to join on loan from Barcelona for the season. The 27-year-old fits the bill for Conte as a left-footed centre-back, meaning he will take over from converted left-back Ben Davies in Tottenham’s back three.
Negotiations are believed to be at an advanced stage between the two clubs, with further talks scheduled for today (June 30). The 27-year-old has spent the past four seasons at the Camp Nou but has fallen down the pecking order in the past year and is said to be ready for a new challenge.
Elsewhere, Spurs are also continuing to chase a deal for Middlesbrough right-back Djed Spence following his ground-breaking season whilst on loan at Nottingham Forest, in which he helped them achieve promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs.
Despite having Emerson Royal, who is expected to depart north London this summer, and Matt Doherty, Conte is looking for a new right wing-back this summer. Levy is driving negotiations as things stand, but progression for a deal has somewhat faltered, with Spurs yet to improve their £10m offer.
Middlesbrough are demanding a package worth an initial £15m plus add-ons and are beginning to grow tired of waiting for Spurs to agree to the fee, with plenty of potential suitors waiting in the background. Nonetheless, the Lilywhites remain favourites to sign him and it is hoped that a deal will finally be reached in the very near future.
