There are just three days remaining in the January transfer window and it looks like Tottenham will be working right to the deadline to get deals across the line.
Antonio Conte can be a tough manager to please and is notoriously demanding when it comes to transfers, but Fabio Paratici is yet to confirm any new arrivals.
Porto winger Luis Diaz looked like he could be on his way to north London yesterday but Liverpool appear to have now hijacked the deal.
It is not just in-comings that the club's director of football will be focusing on, and Giovani Lo Celso is now attracting attention from Europe.
With Bruno Guimaraes reportedly poised to join Newcastle United before deadline day, Lyon have identified Lo Celso as a potential replacement.
However, Spurs have a number of demands, with the French side reportedly eyeing a loan deal, including full salary payments and a loan fee.
"Olympique Lyonnais are interested in signing Giovani Lo Celso from Tottenham to replace Bruno Guimarães who’s set to join Newcastle," transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reported on Twitter on Friday night.
"He’s considered one of the candidates in their list.
"Tottenham want full salary paid until June plus loan fee for Lo Celso."
The 25-year-old has had a frustrating season in north London, making just nine appearances in the Premier League.
A knee injury in November saw him out of action for around a month before a blow to his shinbone sidelined him again shortly after.
But even while fit, he has struggled for game time under both Nuno Espirito Santo and Antonio Conte, starting just two of those nine games.
Lo Celso will still have three years remaining on his deal in north London come the summer, so it is unsurprising that Lyon are looking at an initial loan deal.
