Tottenham’s remaining Premier League fixtures compared to Arsenal and Chelsea in top four race

Tottenham got their aspirations of a top four finish back on track with a 3-1 win over Leicester at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday. Goals from Harry Kane and a brace from Son Heung-min briefly fired Spurs back into fourth spot.

However, Arsenal's 2-1 victory at West Ham saw them reclaim the final Champions League spot and re-establish their two point advantage over the Lilywhites. Spurs and Mikel Arteta’s side both have four games remaining and will meet in a crucial north London derby on May 12.

Meanwhile, Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat at Everton means they’re still vulnerable in the top four race. Thomas Tuchel’s side have not been in the best of form with just one win in their last four Premier League games.

So with that being said, football.london compares Spurs' remaining four fixtures to those of Arsenal and Chelsea.

Liverpool (A) - May 7

Liverpool kick off the start of a difficult couple of games for Tottenham, with the Reds in an unbelievable run of form as they look to challenge for a historic quadruple. If they are to take any positives heading into the game, then Jurgen Klopp’s side may be fatigued, with Tuesday’s Champions League clash against Villarreal still to come.

There was also the reverse fixture back in December, where Spurs took a point in a 2-2 draw. They impressed on the day, frustrating the Champions elect, and they will be hoping to do the same again.

Arsenal (H) - May 12

Following that game is the North London derby, with more than just bragging rights up for grabs. This could be the game that decides the top four this season, with both clubs eager to return to the Champions League.

This one could be the most important derby in years.

Burnley (H) - May 15

The final home game of the season comes against Burnley, who are in the thick of a relegation scrap. The Clarets are far from pushovers though, having only lost once in their last five to climb out of the bottom three.

The reverse fixture also ended in defeat, losing 1-0. It will be far from an easy match.

Norwich (A) - May 22

The final game of the campaign comes against bottom of the Premier League Norwich. The Canaries have already been relegated to the Championship, though it remains to be seen how they will react to that reality.

It could be the ideal way to end the season, especially if the top four is in Spurs’ hands heading into this one.
