Emerson Royal verdict
Emerson Royal's suitability to Antonio Conte's wingback system continues to look suspect as the Brazilian struggles to create attacking moves from his advanced position and it now looks like Spurs might have reached their transfer decision on the player.
The 25-year-old was given the chance to show Conte that he had improved on his tiny two goal contributions from last season but his lack of flair and the fitness or Matt Doherty means that his time in London could be coming to an end.

With Conte also admitting that Dejan Kulusevski can play that same role on the right, and the arrival of Djed Spence, Emerson's future looks set.
Ben Davies signs
Ben Davies has been rewarded for his form under Conte with a deal that keeps him at Spurs until 2025.
The new contract could take his stay at the club over 10 years after joining in 2014 and the defender is now a big part of Conte's plans in a back three next season.
The Welshman played 29 times as Spurs finished in the top four and now faces extra defensive competition from Clement Lenglet.
"It's going to be a pretty jam packed schedule around that World Cup, so we're going to need everybody to play their part. It's an exciting season for both club and country," the Welsh international admitted, as he spoke on playing for his country in the World Cup.
Diaz revenge
Spurs are looking to get one back over Liverpool after Luis Diaz chose Merseyside over London in January.
Conte is a big fan of Nicolo Barella, who he managed at Inter Milan, and sees the player as the perfect creative midfield option for his Spurs side. With a contract until 2026 and no immediate desire to leave Italy there has been a reported £75million price tag put on Barella which could sway Spurs.
Liverpool are also thought to be interest in the player, though Conte's previous Inter contacts could help Spurs out if they were to attempt a deal.
