Tottenham have handed Lucas Bergvall the No15 shirt ahead of his debut season with the club.
The 18-year-old Swede has officially joined Spurs after an £8.5million deal was struck for his signature in February with Djurgarden following his rapid rise in his home country.
And Spurs’ allocation of one of the more senior remaining squad numbers suggests Ange Postecoglou will hand Bergvall a serious chance in the first-team in 2024-25.
The last Tottenham player to wear the No15 was Eric Dier, who held the shirt for almost a decade.
Other previous incumbents include Robbie Keane, Peter Crouch, Etienne Capoue and Ramon Vega.

Bergvall is set to be involved in Spurs’ first game of pre-season on Wednesday when they travel to Edinburgh to face Hearts.
“It’s going really well, this is a fantastic club with amazing players and amazing staff, so I’m really happy to be here and start pre-season,” Bergvall told the club media earlier this week.
“Training has been really good, tough as well, so much speed and power. So, yes, it’s been tough, totally different from Sweden, but it’s fun as well. It’s a really important time for me, important to get to know everyone before the season starts so we can form that good connection.”
A shake-up of squad numbers is likely at Spurs this summer. The No1 and No2 shirts are still available for the new season while No5 Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, No11 Bryan Gil and No12 Emerson Royal have all been linked with moves away.
