A 6-1 defeat at Newcastle, Harry Kane heavily linked to Manchester United, and interim boss Cristian Stellini sacked - it has already been a harrowing three days for Spurs fans.
But in the white half of north London right now, it doesn't rain, just seemingly pours. And those who went to St James' Park have seemingly been given another kick in the teeth despite pledges from players to refund their tickets.
After being 5-0 down in 21 minutes, sections of the away end were spotted leaving the ground in disgust, whilst those who stayed took little comfort from Kane's consolation in an eventual 6-1 defeat. On Tuesday morning, the club's players released a statement that read: "As a squad, we understand your frustration, your anger. It wasn’t good enough. We know words aren’t enough in situations like this but believe us, a defeat like this hurts.
“We appreciate your support, home and away, and with this in mind we would like to reimburse fans with the cost of their match day tickets from St James’ Park. We know this does not change what happened on Sunday and we will give everything to put things right against Manchester United on Thursday evening when, again, your support will mean everything to us."
But whilst the money was repaid, Spurs fans were then left angered to find that the two loyalty points had also been stripped off their season ticket card, essentially rendering their attendance futile. Mercifully, it later emerged the deduction was an automated process that would be rectified.
The @THSTOfficial Twitter account posted: "Have had confirmation from @SpursOfficial that the Newcastle loyalty point deduction was an automatic part of the process and the 2 points will be added back on."
But the farce was still lambasted by fans, with @Pipey78 asking: "Why on earth would they not pre-warn that? Do they not employ any PR advisors anymore?" @santorfo added: "This is what happens when decisions are made on a whim."
@K_P1802 joked: "Even manage to Spurs up the decent thing to do." Many fans though, continued to direct their fury at Chairman Daniel Levy, posting a picture titled 'Levy out' amid a deflating period.
One man who won't be back to try and restore order is former manager and fan favourite Mauricio Mauricio Pochetinno. He's on the verge of taking over at Chelsea, with the two parties now reportedly finalising personal terms.
