Tottenham 'prioritise trying to keep Harry Kane' and other Manchester United transfer rumours

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly prioritising trying to keep hold of Harry Kane this summer.

MEN Sport understands that Kane is top of Manchester United's list of striker targets in the summer. United had been weighing up between the Spurs captain and Napoli's Victor Osimhen but it is now believed that the Reds have settled on Kane as their first-choice option.

However, according to The Athletic, the North London club are not willing to give up on their skipper without a fight. Kane's deal at Tottenham expires in 2024 but the hierarchy at Spurs are believed to be determined to keep him for longer.

Kane, who scored his 20th Premier League goal of the season at the weekend, is said to have entered into initial dialogue with Spurs but these talks are not suggested to be at an advanced stage.

Elsewhere, Real Madrid are reportedly ready to go head-to-head with United to secure the services of Ajax star Mohammed Kudus.

Kudus is a player that Erik ten Hag knows well from his time in Amsterdam but the Ghanaian announced himself on the world stage at Qatar where he shone as a star player. His versatility to play several different roles including centre forward, attacking midfield and right wing, is thought to be a reason why United are looking at him.

But, according to Defensa Central, Los Blancos are also thought to be willing to join the race for the 22-year-old who has scored 18 goals this season. It is claimed that Carlo Ancelotti's scouting department is watching the Ajax man closely in a bid to work out whether he is worth bidding for.
