Ange Postecoglou faces a mixed start to Premier League life as the Tottenham Hotspur head coach but a nightmare end to the season.
The 2023/24 season's Premier League fixtures were revealed on Thursday morning to give the Australian the blueprint from which to plan the campaign ahead, one which will not contain European football for the first time in 14 years for the north London outfit.
Postecoglou now knows that his first competitive match as Tottenham head coach will be a trip to Brentford on Sunday August 13 with a 2pm kick-off.
The 57-year-old's first Premier League game in the dugout of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is a big one with the visit of Manchester United on what is currently set as Saturday August 19. That is currently scheduled as a 3pm kick-off but all fixtures, other than the first and last matches of the season, are subject to change as broadcasters decide their picks.
Spurs then have successive away trips first down and then up the country with Bournemouth and Burnley currently set for August 26 and September 2. They make it a double bill of matches against promoted teams by following up the game against the Clarets with a second home game of the season against Sheffield United on September 16.
Then comes the first North London Derby of the Postecoglou era era as Tottenham embark on the short trip to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal on September 23, followed quickly by a tough third home game against Liverpool. The journey to the third promoted side, Luton Town, comes on October 7.

The first time that the Spurs fans will see former manager Mauricio Pochettino in the opposition dugout comes on November 4 when Chelsea make the trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The festive schedule currently brings a home game against Everton on December 23, a trip to Brighton on Boxing Day, followed by the visit of Bournemouth to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on December 30. Then comes the winter break until Spurs travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United on January 13.
It is the end of the season that will raise eyebrows for Tottenham though with a very tough run-in that begins all the way back on April 2 with a 7.45pm kick-off at West Ham. Then after comes a home game against Nottingham Forest (April 6), then Spurs travel to Newcastle United (April 13), host Manchester City (April 20) before the home north London derby against Arsenal (April 27) and make their way to Liverpool (May 4) before welcoming Burnley on May 11 and ending the campaign with a trip to Sheffield United on May 19.
