Tottenham next manager: Arne Slot meets Feyenoord over future as Spurs prepare formal approach

Arne Slot and his agent is today due to meet Feyenoord to discuss his future, when his potential move to Tottenham will become clearer.

Spurs are preparing a formal approach for Slot to become their new manager and the 44-year-old is thought to be open to a move to the Premier League.

Feyenoord have offered Slot a lucrative new contract after he guided them to the Eredivisie title this season and want to know whether he is committed to them.

Slot refused to play down links with Tottenham last week and his agent Rafaela Pimenta is due to meet Feyenoord to discuss his future.

Should Slot say he wants to leave then Spurs are set to accelerate their move for him.

Feyenoord would be due compensation which could reportedly be more than £12million.

Slot, who turned down interest from Leeds in January, has two years to run on his contract and Feyenoord general manager Dennis te Kloese has said he expects him to stay.

Tottenham are stepping up their manager search as they seek a permanent successor to Antonio Conte.

Spurs have held talks with former Spain and Barcelona manager Luis Enrique and admire Sporting Lisbon's Ruben Amorim, Brighton's Roberto De Zerbi and Celtic’s Ange Postecoglou.

Tottenham have insisted they do not intend to interview Julian Nagelsmann, despite reports over the weekend claiming they had reignited their interest in the former Bayern Munich boss.
