Tottenham news: Spurs given summer transfer hope as Jose Mourinho eyes swoop

Jose Mourinho could return to former club Tottenham Hotspur in a bid to sign one of his former players.

Mourinho left the north London club almost exactly a year ago, later taking charge of Serie A side AS Roma. He's so far endured a difficult return to Italy with his side sitting in sixth place in the league, but Mourinho reportedly wants one of his former players to help solve his problems in midfield.

It comes as Spurs have been given hope in their bid to sign Wolves winger Adama Traore, who is currently on loan at Barcelona. And Hugo Lloris has spoken about reports linking Antonio Conte to the managers' job at Paris Saint-Germain.

Here are Mirror Football's latest Tottenham Hotspur headlines.

Spurs given Traore hope

Tottenham Hotspur may yet be able to sign Wolves winger Adama Traore as they were given fresh hope in their pursuit of the winger.

Traore moved to Spanish giants Barcelona in a January loan deal as a £15million permanent move to Tottenham fell through. But Wolves technical director Scott Sellars has now spoken about the structure of the Barca move and appeared to leave the door open for another club to make a move for Traore if the Nou Camp outfit hesitate to make the move permanent.

Barca do have an agreement in place for the pacy winger, but it's clear Spurs could return with a fresh offer should they want to.
