Tottenham news: Paul Pogba set to hand Spurs major boost as Paulo Dybala transfer truth revealed

Your Tottenham digest on Friday, May 20.

Spurs in for Carrasco

Atletico Madrid wide-man Yannick Carrasco has received an offer from Tottenham ahead of a potential move to White Hart Lane in the summer, according to Spanish outlet El Chiringuito TV. The 28-year-old sees his contract with Diego Simeone's side expire in June 2024.

Carrasco was subject to interest from London rivals Chelsea in February. The Blues discussed the prospect of bringing the Belgium international to the club at the end of this season, as per Footmercato.

Pogba and the Juventus domino effect

Paul Pogba could hand Tottenham a massive boost to their summer transfer plans ahead of next season. The Manchester United midfielder is being heavily linked with a return to Juventus which could see Spurs make a move for the Old Lady's Weston McKennie.

The north London outfit have poached Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski from Turin in January. McKennie is reportedly a transfer target for Antonio Conte's side as the Italian looks to strengthen his squad ahead of next season.

According to reports in Italy, should Pogba return to Juve it could push McKennie out of the club. The USMNT international has struggled for game time after suffering an ankle injury in February with Juventus open to offers for the former Schalke midfielder.

However, football.london understands that at this point Spurs are not considering entering the race for Dybala. Tottenham's managing director of football Fabio Paratici is not believed to be wholly convinced of the striker being the right fit for Antonio Conte's project.
