Tributes paid as former Tottenham boss Terry Neill dies
There was sad news on Thursday with the passing of former Tottenham and Arsenal manager Terry Neill. The 80-year old managed both north London clubs but was better known for his time captaining Arsenal before managing them to FA Cup glory in 1979.
Neill was Spurs boss between 1974 and 1976 after managing the Northern Ireland national team. He then crossed the north London divide in 1976 to enjoy a successful spell as Gunners boss.
Tottenham released a statement, saying: "We were saddened to hear of the passing of our former manager, Terry Neill, who has died at the age of 80."
"We extend our condolences to Terry’s family and friends at this sad time," it continued

Napoli eye Lo Celso loan deal
As reported by Corriere dello Sport, Napoli are lining up a move to take Giovani Lo Celso on loan to Serie A for next season after a successful spell at Villareal last season.
Things have never quite worked out for Lo Celso in north London, but his loan spell in Spain ended with a Champions League semi-final appearance which has kept the Argentine's stock high.
He is reportedly highly rated by the Neopolitans and a move looks like it is set to gather pace in the coming days.
Ligue 1 loan for Joe Rodon
It is expected that Joe Rodon will join Ligue 1 side Rennes in the coming days after a difficult time in north London since his arrival in 2020.
The story was originally reported by The Daily Telegraph's Mike McGrath, with Fabrizio Romano confirming the news that Rodon is in line for a move to France ahead of next season, tweeting: "Rennes are set to sign Joe Rodon on loan from Tottenham, deal expected to be completed soon. Been told the deal also includes a buy option worth €20m."
