Doherty raves about Conte
Antonio Conte is a popular figure at Tottenham, that's fair to say, and as a wingback, there is perhaps nobody better in the world at getting the best from that specific position. This makes the Italian a perfect choice for Matt Doherty.
"He's changed the whole mentality of the whole club," the former Wolves player said. "He’s made us feel like winners. We know he’s obviously won a lot in the past and we’re kind of trying to do it."
Conte is currently on a seven-game unbeaten run in the league as Spurs have started the season strongly, and the manager has been a big factor in the attitude change.

"I remember when he first came in," Doherty added. "We had a meeting and afterwards, you were ready to run through a wall for him."
Conte's contract explained
With Juventus starting their Serie A season poorly, just two wins from seven matches including four draws, Massimiliano Allegri has come under immense pressure. This has brought links to Spurs boss Conte after his previous success in Italy, and formerly with the Old Lady.
Football.london understands there is a key clause in his contract that could have a big impact on Conte's future though.
Given that Conte's initial deal will expire at the end of the season there is pressure on both parties to reach an agreement over settling Conte's future, especially given his willingness to move on from exciting positions as a manager before.
Spanish partnership
Spurs have announced a partnership in Spain in a statement released on Thursday night.
It reads: We are excited to announce a new innovative Global Football Development partnership with FC Malaga City.
Established in 2013, FC Malaga City has quickly become widely regarded as one of the world’s best residential football academies. Represented by players from over 35 different countries and six continents, the academy houses some of the top unsigned talents outside of the professional game.
Starting this month, the initial twelve-month partnership will see the Club’s Global Football Development team work alongside FC Malaga City coaches, using renowned authentic training methods taken directly from our Academy to maximise the potential of aspiring young players.
Our expert coaches will deliver interactive and informative coach education workshops in Spain, whilst hosting quarterly visits to our state-of-the-art training facility for selected FC Malaga City coaching staff so they can experience first-hand our coaching philosophy in operation.
In addition, the Club will host two football development residential visits for FC Malaga City players, providing high-intensity training sessions, matches against selected Academy opposition and the opportunity to hear from guest speakers across the Club.
