The Spanish 'keeper is set to agree a long-term contract with the club as he nears his final year with the Bees, though their £40million valuation is seen as too high.
It comes as Spurs look to bolster their shot-stopping department after current number one choice Hugo Lloris admitted to wanting a new challenge.
