Dier issues rallying call
Eric Dier has called on Tottenham to use their experience of last season’s successful push for a top-four finish to help them get back in the Champions League.
“Obviously missing that last game (through suspension) definitely hurt,” Dier told SpursPlay. “Those are the types of games you want to play in, but that’s football. It was nice for us to get back out there with a win and hopefully we can move on from here.

“We have to take the experience from last season and use it to our advantage. You know what the Premier League is like, they’ll be bumps along the way but we’ve got to try and give everything for these 11 games. We’ve got to try and give everything as a squad and as a club.
“Yeah, obviously Wednesday (against AC Milan) was a huge disappointment but at the same time it is a good motivation for us to push for that top four because those are the nights you want to be involved in football.”
Next five fixtures compared
Tottenham moved six points clear of Liverpool in the Premier League table with a win against Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon. Spurs' exit from the Champions League earlier this week leaves them with just a top-four spot to fight for in the Premier League. However, Newcastle's win against Wolves on Sunday means the Magpies are just four points behind Antonio Conte's side and have two games in hand.
football.london has taken a look at Spurs' next five fixtures in the Premier League as they look to build momentum in the race for the top four.

Four players to miss Southampton clash
Tottenham will hope to end their inconsistent form of recent weeks and record back-to-back Premier League wins when they face Southampton next weekend.
Two players who are likely to be back for the match are Ivan Perisic and Emerson Royal, with the pair both having been out of action against Nottingham Forest with knocks. However, there remain long-term absentees.
