Here is your Tottenham Hotspur morning digest on Sunday, April 17.
Spurs 'interested' in Kim Min-Jae
Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing Fenerbahce centre-back Kim Min-Jae this summer. However, they face competition for his signature from Premier League rivals Everton.
According to Turkish news outlet Fanatik, Spurs sent scouts to watch Kim Min-Jae’s recent performance against Galatasaray and were left impressed by his commanding display. The report also states that the South Korea star has a release clause of £19 million and that Antonio Conte has given the thumbs up for the Lilywhites to pursue the 25-year-old.
Kin Min-Jae joined Fenerbahce last summer from Beijing Guoan in a £2.4 million deal which has turned out to be an astute bit of business by the Turkish club. He has played in all but three of their 33 league games, helping his side rise to second in the table and in pole position for a place in next season’s Champions League.
Brighton mock north London duo
Brighton have brutally mocked both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur following back-to-back Premier League victories against the north London duo.
The Gunners suffered a 2-1 defeat against Graham Potter's side last weekend as Martin Odegaard’s deflected strike came too late after Leonardo Trossard and Enock Mwepu had scored for the visitors. The result meant Spurs were three points clear of their local rivals going into this weekend's fixtures, with the Seagulls travelling to N17 on Saturday afternoon.
Despite being heavy favourites for the lunchtime kick-off, the Lillywhites struggled to create any meaningful openings at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. In fact, the north Londoners failed to register a single shot on target before the aforementioned
Trossard netted the only goal of the game, finishing past Hugo Lloris in the 89th minute.
Now, Brighton have taken to social media to mock both clubs, claiming that the northern part of the capital belongs to them. Their Tweet read: "North London is ours", followed by a winking emoji.

Talking points from Brighton defeat
This was a day for Tottenham Hotspur to learn their lessons as the pressure mounts in the Premier League run-in. Spurs have been flying in recent weeks with goals galore but they need to learn that not every side is going to give them the space they require to thrive.
It has been a different week for Tottenham and their head coach. Antonio Conte is used to being fully involved in training sessions and getting close to his players, in and around them and working with them one-to-one. Instead, this week was spent with the Covid-hit Italian bellowing - as much as he could with a hoarse throat - from afar while his staff took the sessions.
He tested negative on Friday and decided to travel separately to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday morning, even though he was fine to go on the coach, taking that little extra precaution against passing it on to his players within the tighter confines of the vehicle.
He was back in the big changing room though and on the bench and his bout of Covid did not appear to have calmed him down at all on the touchline. He was still surging around his technical area, pointing, shouting and gesturing and the crowd was singing his name just eight minutes in.
