Conte proven wrong on £300million claim
Tottenham boss Antonio Conte has just entered his third transfer window as Tottenham boss, with eight players having arrived since he joined in November 2021.
Despite the major arrivals of Dejan Kulusevski, Rodrigo Bentancur, Ivan Perisic, Richarlison and Yves Bissouma, along with Fraser Forster, Djed Spence and Clement Lenglet, the Italian seems to have indicated the £242.5million spent by Spurs is not matching other clubs.

Spurs 'closing in' on first January transfer
Tottenham Hotspur are hopeful of agreeing a transfer for Sporting CP star Pedro Porro to solve a huge problem faced by Antonio Conte at right wing-back.
Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty have struggled to nail down the position, while summer arrival Djed Spence has been handed barely any minutes by the Italian to stake his claim in the position.
A deal for the 23-year-old looks possible, despite his £39million release clause set as the asking price and Premier League club Manchester City could be surprising beneficiaries from the transfer if it is completed.
