Arsenal have opened talks with Brighton over a move for forward Leandro Trossard in the January transfer window, football.london understands. The Belgian looks set for a potential move to the Emirates Stadium in the coming weeks, though Tottenham have also been linked.
The move could come as a blow to Spurs, who are looking to reinforce their squad before the end of the month, with the need for some additions. A versatile forward is an option currently on the radar, though with Trossard potentially off the market, another option may have to be called upon.
With that said, here's a look at three options the Lilywhites could look at as alternatives to the 28-year-old in the coming weeks.

Michael Olise
With a transfer strategy surrounding signing young talents for the future, a move for Michael Olise could be one to keep an eye on. The 21-year-old is yet to truly take off in the Premier League with Crystal Palace, but continues to show glimpses of his capability on occasions.
The forward has just over three-years on his deal, making it a potentially tough deal to sort after the reported removal of a release clause from his contract.
Nicolo Zaniolo
Another option available on the table is AS Roma's Nicolo Zaniolo, who is a versatile player that could play out wide or through the middle. The Italian is said to be free to leave his club this month, with Sky Sports claiming that £35million is the current valuation set and at 23-years-old, he has plenty of promise.
Marcus Edwards
Former Tottenham youngster Marcus Edwards has impressed since joining Sporting CP and has since been linked with a return to north London. The 24-year-old is tipped for big things still, with a release clause in his contract that could be triggered ahead of a potential switch.
