Tottenham Hotspur may have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Wolves winger Adama Traore.
Spurs have been linked with a move for Traore in recent times, with head coach Antonio Conte reportedly keen to bolster his squad as the Lillywhites look to push for a spot in next season's Champions League.
Now, according to Sky Sports, Wolves are closing in on a deal for Estoril wideman Chiquinho, who will reportedly undergo a medical on Monday ahead of a £3million move to Molineux.
The 21-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Bruno Lage's side, who are currently eighth in the Premier League standings and some reports have even claimed that he will be replacing the aforementioned Traore at the club.
Wolves are said to be open to offers for the Spanish international, who has less than 18 months left on his contract with the club and Lage even claimed that the 25-year-old's goal against Southampton over the weekend could help increase his transfer value.
Speaking after the game, he said: “I went to say, ‘I’m happy with you, it’s an important moment for you.’
“After I said something just for him, ‘Now if any team wants you, you’re more valuable because you scored one goal!’”
“Adama deserved this goal,” the Portuguese coach added. “He is working hard, he is creating a lot of chances. When he starts he helps the team, when he comes from the bench he helps the team.
“I have the four wingers and they can give me lots of things because they are different. Adama can play on both sides.
“Imagine, with Adama, Daniel (Podence), Trincao and Hwang, I can prepare for games in different ways, not only offensively but also defensively in the way we press.”
