Tottenham star Harry Kane's future at the club is uncertain as the striker approaches the final 12 months of his contract, with a renewal not currently in sight. It has led to questions over the path the England international captain takes next, with the overall situation at Spurs itself unresolved.
The arrival of a new head coach and director of football, along with a host of new players in the summer transfer window, could change the outlook for Kane's future. Manchester United are one of the sides linked with a switch this summer, including Bayern Munich and PSG.
Interim manager Ryan Mason was asked to sum up the forward's time at the club, should Sunday's clash with Leeds be his last in Lilywhite, to which he said: "I can’t sum it up because he’s still our player. I think when you sum something up, it’s a closed chapter and you speak about the past. That’s certainly not the case. For any player, manager, or member of staff at this football club, when one leaves it’s important to have a succession plan in place.

"When people do leave, the next one comes in and the impact isn’t so big. That’s not just speaking about Harry. That’s speaking about other players. Ultimately, in ten years’ time, Tottenham Hotspur football club is still going to be Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. For me, it’s really important that there’s an identity in all departments."
While Kane could leave on a free in one year, there could be a transfer solution this summer in the form of Real Madrid, according to reports. Spanish radio outlet Cadena SER claims that Real Madrid have joined the race to sign the 29-year-old, offering up former Chelsea star Eden Hazard as an option to swap too.
It could see Spurs land a replacement in the forward areas for if Kane was to leave, but it remains to be seen if that would be enough to sway Daniel Levy to budge on his stance.
