Tottenham Hotspur have been fined for failing to control its players in an orderly fashion following an incident in the 31st minute against Newcastle United last weekend.
Whilst Spurs were second best on the day and deserved to lose the game, a controversial VAR decision meant that Callum Wilson's opening goal stood.
The Newcastle striker chased down Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, who touched the ball beyond his marker. But the Englishman stood his ground, and when Lloris tried to retrieve the ball, he bumped into Wilson and fell to the ground, claiming a free-kick.

Wilson then retrieved the ball himself and delightfully lobbed the ball into the largely empty net. However, as he didn't trip Lloris or put his arms out to block him, the goal was adjudged to be legal.
Spurs players then surrounded the referee as they protested the decision to allow the goal. As a result, the club have been fined.
An FA spokesperson said: "Tottenham Hotspur FC has been fined £20,000 for breaching FA Rule E20.1 during its match against Newcastle United FC in the Premier League on Sunday 23 October 2022.
"Tottenham Hotspur FC admitted failing to ensure that its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion during the 31st minute, and also accepted the standard penalty."
Spurs will now be turning their attention to Bournemouth as they look to turn around their recent bad run of form.
