Tottenham fans are furious at something they have spotted with Arsenal and Chelsea fixtures

Tottenham Hotspur fans have noticed a discrepancy between their newly-released Premier League fixtures and those of London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea.

The new season was laid out for Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou on Thursday morning with the release of the league fixtures, including a tough run-in that will see the north London side take on four games in a row against Newcastle, Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool in their last six matches.

However, the Spurs supporters are more annoyed at something else the fixture computer has thrown up for their side compared to the games for certain other teams in London.

Postecoglou's men face an away trip to start their season on Sunday, August 13 as they take on Brentford, then they also travel on Boxing Day with a journey for the fans away from their festive meals to Brighton and to complete the hat-trick they will head to Sheffield United on the final day of the Premier League season on May 19.

The Australian will only visit his new home in the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium once in the club's first four Premier League matches.

Spurs fans were bemoaning the fixture schedule keeping them and their team away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for three key fixtures and that only grew when they saw what the fixture schedule had served up for Arsenal and Chelsea.

The Gunners host Nottingham Forest in their first match of the season, then Mikel Arteta's side welcome West Ham on Boxing Day before getting a home match to end their campaign in the shape of Everton.

The same can be said Mauricio Pochettino's Chelsea with a home treble as they begin the 2023/24 season at Stamford Bridge, albeit in a tough way in the shape of Liverpool. They then welcome Crystal Palace on Boxing Day before hosting Bournemouth on the final day of their campaign.

In the end it may well end up making little difference but for Spurs fans they would prefer some home comforts at such key times.
