Tottenham Hotspur are attempting to hijack Arsenal's move for Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus if recent reports are to be believed.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for Jesus in recent weeks, and football.london understands that technical director Edu has held talks with the player's representatives in recent months. Now, Italian outlet TuttoJuve have reported that Spurs have offered City €47 million (£40.2million) for the Brazilian international.
football.london has previously reported that he is indeed a player that the Lillywhites admire, although it remains to be seen whether or not reports of a bid are true. The 25-year-old netted 13 goals and provided a further 12 assists across all competitions, impressive numbers when you consider that he played just 2,570 minutes - meaning he directly contributed to a goal every 102.8 minutes last term.

The former Palmeiras frontman, who reportedly has been offered to both Real and Atletico Madrid, has remained coy when asked about his future away from the Etihad Stadium. "I'm fine, calm. Calm, as I always was. Always looking for the best for me, for my career," he said last month.
"I've never been one to throw myself into a project without knowing it. And that's what I'm going to do. Now I'm focused on the national team, but as of Tuesday, I start thinking about my future."
Jesus is now into the final 13 months of his contract with Pep Guardiola's side, who have added Norwegian starlet Erling Haaland to their attacking ranks ahead of the 2022/23 season.
