Tottenham drop team news hint for FA Cup fifth round clash vs Sheffield United

Tottenham have dropped a team news hint on social media about the starting lineup for the FA Cup fifth round clash against Sheffield United. The tie at Bramall Lane comes hot on the heels of Spurs' victory against Chelsea in the Premier League, with Antonio Conte's side hoping to secure a place in the quarter-finals.

The win against Graham Potter's side was at times a prickly affair, with a clash between a number of players initially seeing Hakim Ziyech sent off for a shove to the face of Emerson Royal, though that was eventually downgraded by VAR. And the fixtures are now coming thick and fast for Spurs, with five games in the next 18 days before the international break.

As such, it could be a chance for Conte to rotate his side ahead of big Premier League and Champions League clashes, with Milan heading to north London next week for the return leg of their Champions League Round of 16 tie. There are areas of the squad which could use a bit of a freshening up - but Spurs may have dropped a hint about who is in the starting XI already.

On Twitter, Spurs made a matchday post featuring three players ahead of the 7.55pm kick-off. Harry Kane is in there along with Ben Davies, plus midfielder Oliver Skipp.

While some changes are likely against the Championship opposition, it seems likely that Kane will be among the starters for the clash in north Yorkshire. However, Skipp could be one of the players rested.

The 22-year-old has started the last three matches after a long spell without regular football, which could see Pape Matar Sarr replace him in the starting lineup.

Meanwhile, Davies has played the last two games in a more attacking wing-back role than his usual position on the left side of central defence. But with Ivan Perisic on the bench against Chelsea and the likes of Japhet Tanganga and Davinson Sanchez needing minutes, Davies could be offered a rest at Bramall Lane.
