Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper is reportedly on Tottenham’s short-list to replace Antonio Conte.
Conte remains Spurs boss for now but is widely expected to sever ties with the club during the international break following his tirade in the wake of Saturday’s 3-3 draw at Southampton.
The Italian blasted his players and the club’s owners during an extraordinary post-match press conference. Conte is now back in his homeland and is not expected to return to the club.

Coach Ryan Mason could be handed the reins again until the end of the season as Spurs weigh up a long-term successor to Conte. Thomas Tuchel, Luis Enrique and former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino are the obvious front-runners.
However, according to MailOnline, Cooper, Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou and Brentford’s Thomas Frank and Fulham’s Marco Silva are also on Tottenham’s lengthy list of candidates.
The Spurs link coincides with Crystal Palace’s reported interest in Cooper, who has transformed Forest’s fortunes since taking charge 18 months ago. While Roy Hodgson has been reappointed by the Eagles until the end of the season following the sacking of Patrick Vieira, that is a short-term measure, with the club keen to appoint a long-term successor in the summer.
