Tottenham confirm Luka Vuskovic deal with Croatian starlet to join Spurs in 2025

Tottenham have confirmed the future signing of Luka Vuskovic.

The highly-rated teenage defender will join Spurs from Croatian top-flight outfit Hajduk Split in the summer of 2025, when he turns 18 years of age.

Croatia Under-17 international Vuskovic has signed an initial five-year contract in north London until 2030 after establishing a reputation as one of the most impressive young talents in his homeland.

Standard Sport understands that Tottenham beat plenty of heavyweight rivals to the signing of the 16-year-old in a major coup, including Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain.

Spurs are rumoured to be paying around £12million for Vuskovic, who is Hajduk Split’s youngest goalscorer and the youngest player ever to feature in the top division of Croatian football, after reaching a breakthrough in talks earlier this month and agreeing personal terms.

It had been said that Vuskovic’s move to Tottenham could offer Hajduk Split leverage as they attempt to secure a return to the club for Croatia stalwart Ivan Perisic during the January transfer window.

However, the veteran wing-back suffered a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury during training last week that required surgery and is expected to see him miss the rest of the season before his Spurs contract expires next summer.
