Tottenham can do Chelsea a favour with two key Man United players walking suspension tightrope

Manchester United face a tough week of Premier League action, coming up against two of London's leading sides in quick succession. United host Tottenham at Old Trafford on Wednesday night, before travelling to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea on Saturday evening.

Both games could prove to be huge in the battle for the top four, with Spurs and Chelsea currently third and fourth in the table respectively, while Erik ten Hag's side are in fifth. As Antonio Conte's team are taking on United on Wednesday evening, Chelsea will playing out a west London derby against Brentford.

Graham Potter's focus will be on the game against the Bees, although he will no doubt keep half an eye out for the result at Old Trafford, with his team facing Ten Hag's side just three days later.

Two of the Red Devils' key players have already received four yellow cards this season - and a booking against Spurs would see them miss the huge clash against Chelsea. Diogo Dalot and Bruno Fernandes will be walking a disciplinary tightrope against Tottenham, with both players just one yellow card away from a one-match suspension.

Fernandes has three more yellow cards than he does goals this season, picking up his latest booking in United's 0-0 draw against Newcastle United on Sunday. Dalot, who has started every league game this season, wasn't booked against the Magpies but is also just one card away from a suspension. Both players will be walking on thin ice at Old Trafford on Wednesday, knowing they can't afford to miss Saturday's huge clash at Chelsea.
