Antonio Conte's decision to bring on Djed Spence late in the game against Aston Villa, has sparked some debate amongst Tottenham fans.
Spence has found regular game time hard to come by since his move from Nottingham Forest in the summer, making just four appearances this season. He replaced Ivan Perisic in the 88th minute against Villa, prompting a jeer from the home crowd given they were already 2-0 down and heading for defeat.
The 22-year-old had an impressive loan stint at the City Ground, which granted him a move to north London from Middlesbrough. Fans are hoping they will get to see more of the talented youngster in the new year.
