Pape Sarr has signed a new Tottenham contract.
Spurs announced on Tuesday the new terms for the 21-year-old midfielder, who has played in every game he has been available for since Ange Postecoglou's arrival in the summer.
A new six-and-a-half-year deal keeps Sarr in north London until the summer of 2030.
The Senegal international is set to jet off to the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast as he looks to continue his fine season.
Postecoglou has entrusted Sarr with a regular starting berth in midfield, where he has been a mainstay apart from two games out through injury in late November and early December - neither of which Tottenham won.
Sarr will hope his AFCON plans are not wrecked by an injury worry he picked up during the recent 3-1 win over Bournemouth, in which he scored his second goal for Spurs.
Yves Bissouma is also heading off for the tournament while Heung-min Son leads South Korea at the Asian Cup in Qatar.
Tottenham are hoping to land reinforcements in the transfer window, particularly in defence where they are in talks with Genoa to sign Romania international Radu Dragusin.
