A Tory MP has launched a vile attack on a woman after she thanked the Samaritans for helping her at Glastonbury.

Brendan Clarke-Smith labelled political commentator and satirist Tan Smith a "vile internet troll" after she posted the heartfelt message on Twitter.

The MP for Bassetlaw quoted the influencer's post, adding sarcastically: "Excuse me for playing the world’s smallest violin."
