A TORY minister has been accused of “talking through his hat” after insisting the UK Government will not breach international law as it introduces legislation giving it the power to scrap parts of the Northern Ireland Protocol.

Northern Ireland Secretary Brandon Lewis claimed the new legislation, to be presented in Parliament on Monday, would be “lawful” and “correct”.
