Topps Tiles extends main sponsor deal with Leicester Tigers

Topps Tiles has extended the main sponsor deal it signed with Leicester Tigers last season, taking advantage of the excitement generated from the 2020/21 Premiership title win at Twickenham.

The tile retailer, which is based just south of Leicester, recently celebrated a second record year of sales with trade up more than 10 per cent.

It was launched in 1963 and is now the UK's biggest specialist supplier of tiles and tiling products, with 304 stores, four commercial showrooms and six websites. Its plan is to have a 20 per cent of the UK tile market by 2025.

As well as having its name on the team’s playing shirts, the deal will see Topps Tiles branding on the matchday warm-up kit, as well as around the stadium and on media backdrops. It will also sponsor the “Topps Tiles Try-Umph of the Month”.

Leicester Tigers chief revenue officer Mark Davies said: “We are delighted to extend our partnership early with Topps Tiles.

“Since they have arrived at the club, they have fully immersed themselves in our culture, bought into our vision and have subsequently played a vital role in getting this club to the position it is in today.

“The supporters have also been at the heart of the partnership, taking part in the Topps Tiles Golden Tile activity on matchdays, voting for the Try-Umph of the Month, purchasing the latest replica kits and, of course, in purchasing tiles for the home and outdoors.

“We’d like to thank the Tigers Family for playing their part and also everyone within Topps Tiles for their support, while also sharing our excitement about the next steps of our journey together over the coming years.”

Richard Carter, manager director of retail at Topps Tiles, said: “The Leicester Tigers family is built around similar DNA to the Topps Tiles brand, creating an amazing and exciting synergy.

“We are proud to continue our partnership and we are excited to see how the team progresses again this season.”
