Former Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson keeps finding himself the subject of major news stories, and all for the wrong reasons. The latest hit came via The Athletic, which chronicled Wilson’s tumultuous first year in Denver. In the story was an allegation Wilson tried to have head coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Schneider fired.
Although Wilson was quick to Twitter to deny, given how much has already been well documented about the end of his era in Seattle, there are those who may be taking his denial with more than a grain of salt.
The Athletic’s story was dominating sports news on Friday, and everyone took time to chime in. Here are some of the top tweets about the bombshell report.
First and foremost was ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith going full scorched Earth on the Broncos quarterback.
