Bruno Guimaraes has spoken about how high he believes Newcastle United can climb next season in the Premier League.
The Brazil international, who has had one of the biggest impacts in the club's Premier League history in terms of a new signing, was not afraid to play down his expectations when asked by ESPN Brasil in his home country on what could be possible next season. Speaking to the channel, Bruno said: "We want to get into the top six. Fight for the Europa League, maybe for the maybe the Champions League.
"We know that it won't be overnight that you will become a top seven, you have to prove it on a daily basis, but we hope for the best. I hope we can form a great team, it will depend on the reinforcements, who will arrive, who will leave. I'm very optimistic, I hope we can fight for the Europa League, maybe Champions League."

Bruno was also asked about his comments to the club programme recently. In the Crystal Palace issue of the official United publication, the Brazil star said he would sign best pal and Lyon ace Lucas Paqueta if he could choose any transfer target.
He told ESPN: "It would be my dream. Paquetá is my best friend, we made a relationship, not only on the field, but we lived together all the time outside. Our wives together too. It was a brotherly relationship, we still talk every day. It would be really cool if he could come here, but I can't do this job."
Bruno also spoke positively about head coach Eddie Howe and commented: "He's very tactical, he likes neat lines a lot. Every day, in a part of the training, we always do the same thing, this line work.
"He is very intelligent, he studies football, because today he needs to study, to know the opponents, otherwise you are dead".
